Complete Technology to Improve the Durability of Harbor and Marine Engineering Concrete Structures and Its Application


A major technological breakthrough has been made to the scientific research project of Complete Technology to Improve the Durability of Harbor and Marine Engineering Concrete Structures and Its Application, which was hosted by CCCC 4th Harbor Institute. The project has changed the technological backwardness which the durability of concrete structures marine life is generally less than 20 years. It extends the service life of sea bridges, piers and other structures to be 50 years, or even more than 100 years. It laid a solid theoretical foundation for the realization of 120 years service life construction standards of the HONG KONG-ZHUHAI-MACAO Bridge. The project results have been applied in major projects at home and abroad, such as Qingdao Bay Bridge, Yantian container terminals phrase III, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the Gwadar Port in Pakistan and etc. Furthermore, the most noteworthy is the Second Prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
